The staff within Counseling and Testing Services take great pride in being a part of a select few of mental health providers with expertise in working with and understanding the unique challenges facing developing artists. We accept that artists, by their very nature, see and experience the world differently than others. As a consequence, artists often experience sensitivities that others may not "get." We get it. Hours

The Counseling Center is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and a counselor is on call evenings and weekends for emergencies while students are in session. No services are provided during breaks or summer session. For after hours support, students, parents, faculty and staff (on behalf of a student) can contact HealthLink 24-hours a day, at 1.888.267.3675 to speak with a qualified healthcare professional. Calls are confidential.

Making an Appointment

Call the Wellness Center at 336.770.3288 to schedule with a counselor. Prior to your initial appointment, complete the First Appointment Forms from any on-campus computer.

Why Counseling?

Studies on the effectiveness of psychotherapy show that the average person who receives counseling services is better off than 80% of those who receive no treatment.
